Neighborhood overviewPort Douglas is your direct connection to two of the natural wonders of the world, the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest, making the area a hub for family holidays, weddings and business trips from people all over the world! Being located on the main street of town, you will have over 40 restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, retail shops and tour desks to choose from! Four Mile Beach is just a 10 minute walk, and Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina just 5 minutes from the Sugar Wharf Apartment.
Getting aroundLocated an hour from Cairns, the best way to venture up to Port Douglas is by hire car, giving you the flexibility to do day trips to the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge or the Tablelands (which are relatively hard to get to without a car). However, there are many bus companies that do door-to-door airport pick-up's and drop-off's, as well as tour companies to take you all over Tropical North Queensland!
Our apartment is located right in town and is walking distance from a many number of the unique activities Port Douglas has to offer.
